Fine artist Elizabeth Graf lives in Florida and her mother's family
is from the Caribbean (Dominican Republic). She and her husband visited
Roatan in 1993 after hearing about this very beautiful island - their
visit included Coxen's Hole, West End Village (Foster's), a cabin
on West Bay Beach, and a trek over the mountains to Oak Ridge. From
there they hired a guide who took them (and new friends) by dugout
canoe to see the old Port Royal Yacht Club, which was then abandoned.
She was so inspired by Roatan that she produced paintings upon her
return to Florida from drawings and photos created during her visit.
Her original oil paintings can be seen and purchased online at her
web
site.
