This is the story of our trip to San Juancito to visit with and see the art school of famed Honduran artist, Regina Aguilar. We arrived in Tegucigalpa and were picked up at the airport by a friend of Regina. After breakfast, we visited In Vitro, Regina's Tegucigalpa shop where items made at the school are displayed and sold. Then we were on the road, traveling through Valle de los Angeles to our destination of San Juancito, a small village that was a thriving mining community for about a hundred years until 1954, and is now the home of the Fundacion San Juancito, Regina's school.

All the rooms are large, decorated wonderfully, and very pleasant.
After our San Juancito visit, we returned to Tegucigalpa, stopping on the way to the airport at Fama de America Cafe to see more of the school's work.
