About Roatan OnLine

In 1994, my husband and I moved to Roatan to experience our dream of retiring on a tropical island. We had both worked for many years at a large research and development company in Texas, where we learned about the newly-developing internet technology.

We built a small home near West End Village on the western end of Roatan and made our home there. Soon friends and neighbors asked for help getting onto the internet, and Roatan OnLine was born. I began using FrontPage97 to create web pages, but after a few years, converted everything to Dreamweaver V.3 which I still use as my "starting point" in designing new sites. I use this old version of DW because it helps me create sites that are consistent with my desire to make pages that are streamlined for fast loading -- no frills web sites that deliver the message to suit the majority of internet users who want to get information quickly and easily.

The goal is for Roatan OnLine to be a fun information source for persons interested in visiting or learning about Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras C.A. Your comments are welcome.
